My TARDIS

Well it was only a matter of time.... but I finally went and built myself a full size TARDIS. This one is based off the original prop from 1963 (there have been lots of variations over the years), and stands at a whopping 9 feet tall.

This was easily the biggest and most expensive project I've ever done, and also at times the hardest and most frustrating. But ultimately it was all worth it and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Plus it's just a really cool thing to have in my garage.  : )

And here's a couple pics of it all lit up at night:

My entire Build Diary for this can be found at the awesome Tardis Builders website if you want to check it out.

R2-D2 model kit

Here's an old 1977 MPC kit of Artoo I finally finished. The kit wasn't all that accurate so I had to make a ton of improvements first (redoing the head, making the legs thicker, adding more accurate shoulders, etc), and then I weathered it to match his appearance in the first movie.

The other thing I really wanted to do was add the hoses underneath. Yeah, I realize they weren't supposed to be seen and were only there to hide Kenny Baker's legs, but as a kid I always DID notice them.... and thought they actually looked kinda cool. So I decided to add them.

I also bent the legs and feet inward a bit like in the first movie, because it just seemed to give him a bit more character.

Ballerina for mom

Here's another thing I never thought I would sculpt in a million years. It's a ballerina I made for my mom as a Christmas present.

It was very last minute and thrown together in only a couple weeks, so there are definitely some things that could be improved (and the pics aren't really the best either).

Quick Sculpt

Here's just a quick figure study I did recently.

Jim Lee Wonder Woman WIP

This is something I started, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna finish. It's supposed to be Wonder Woman in her "New 52" costume (which I really prefer over the old one).
